Walter Parazaider, Founding Member of Chicago, Dead at 81 Following Battle With Alzheimer’s
Parazaider, a multi-instrumentalist who was best known for being one-third of Chicago’s brass and woodwind section, played with the band from its founding in 1967 until his retirement from touring in 2017.
Parazaider was born in Maywood, Illinois, in March of 1945 and attended DePaul University, where he met several of his future bandmates.
